The Charles George VA Medical Center (CGVAMC), Asheville, North Carolina is recruiting for a cardiothoracic (CT) surgeon to replace one of our two clinically active surgeons. The CT services at CGVAMC provide adult cardiac and thoracic surgical services to the Veteran population in Western North Carolina and surrounding regions, including South Carolina and Georgia. Ideally, candidates will be experienced and able to independently perform the depth and breadth of cases performed at our facility. The service is supported by a case manager and 3 physician assistants. We have several interventional cardiologists on staff who perform diagnostic and therapeutic as well as EP interventions. We also have a fully equipped hybrid operating room in our OR Suite. The ideal candidate would be interested in developing the general thoracic component of our practice and able to provide basic cardiac surgery coverage.
Compensation is commensurate with education, training and experience.
